Ratings: New Girl Remains Pretty Popular; Week 2 Sees Expected Drop-Off
Zooey Deschanel It looks like New Girl is no fluke. The second episode of the sitcom starring Zooey Deschanel attracted 9.26 million viewers and scored a 4.4 rating among industry-prized 18-to-49-year-olds, again bettering Glee. Also at 9/8c, DWTS' results show had its usual increase (14.05 million) vs. The Biggest Loser (5.84 million) and the third round of Ringer, which improved slightly to 2.01 million after losing 30 percent of its premiere eyeballs last week. CBS kept its usual stranglehold on the first two hours of Tuesday's prime time with NCIS, which attracted 19.18 million (4.2), and NCIS: Los Angeles, which lured 16.12 million (3.5). Fox's Raising Hope at 9:30/8:30c reached 6.30 million people. Against NCIS and Glee at 8/7c, the first hour of Dancing with the Stars entertained 9.30 million viewers vs. The Biggest Loser on NBC (5.70 million) and The CW's 90210 (1.68 million).
